PreK-12 Music Teacher
"Mrs. Arnold is the Music Director at Cody-Kilgore Unified Schools. Born and raised in Lakeview SD, Mrs. Arnold loved music from an early age. While in high school at Cody-Kilgore, Mrs. Arnold decided she wanted to teach music. After earning a B.A. in Music Ministry from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, Mrs. Arnold returned to Cody-Kilgore to teach K-12 Music. During the first years of her teaching career, she participated in the Chadron State’s transition to teaching program, eventually earning a B.S. in Music Education. Mrs. Arnold continued her education at UNK, graduating in 2015 with a Master of Arts in Music Education. A few years into her career, Mrs. Arnold met and married Cody-Kilgore’s English teacher, William Arnold and they moved back to the Logterman ranch where Mrs. Arnold was raised. When they are not at school, the Arnolds enjoy hanging out with their dogs (two lazy pugs and an energy-filled German shepherd), traveling and spending time with family. The Arnolds also remain involved in their community, church and the student exchange program. They have hosted 11 girls so far – Daniela (Germany), Amy (Australia), Hanna (Germany), Sohyeon (South Korea), Martine (Norway), Seraina (Switzerland), Julia (Austria), Anna (Sweden), Federica (Italy), Ida (Germany) and Irene (Italy).
