Save the date for the Annual FFA Labor Auction - MONDAY, October 7th! Kick off Homecoming week with the Silent Auction 5:30-6:30 showcasing handmade student projects, followed by the Live Labor Auction at 6:30. Don't forget to come enjoy some delicious soup and support the NHS too from 5:30-6:30!
Yesterday, 13 CK FFA members battled through some warmer temperatures and fairly rough terrain, all while keeping a close eye out for snakes as they competed in a very tough State Range Judging competition. Out of 197 Senior competitors, Blake Lancaster placed in the top 1/2 of contestants. Out of 205 Junior competitors, James Walkling was 5 placings away from being in the top 1/4 of contestants.

The Cody-Kilgore Booster Club is selling tickets for a full, processed hog. Tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50. The drawing will be held during halftime of the homecoming football game. You can buy tickets from members or find them at Husker Hub, Security First, and the high school.
C-K Booster Club supports our students in many of their activities throughout the year by sponsoring meals, providing snacks, helping purchase senior banners, and recently they purchased the new state championship and qualifier banners in the gym! Please consider supporting our C-K Boosters!

Last Wednesday, Cody-Kilgore FFA members traveled to Harrison, NE to compete in area range judging.
Out of 72 participants, Cash Cooper received a green and placed 11th overall, Kayleigh Ravenscroft received a green and placed 17th overall, Blake Lancaster received a green and placed 18th overall, JD Morris placed 23rd & Rachel Farley placed in the top half of all competitors.
The team of Cash, Kayleigh, Blake & JD placed 4th overall. All of these senior division competitors will travel to Imperial, NE next week to participate in the State Range Competition.
