The Cody-Kilgore community is invited to a pep rally in support of our boys' basketball team as they head to the District Championship game against Wynot at O'Neill Public School (5 pm mt tip-off). The pep rally will start at 11:30 AM and wrap up at 12:00 PM, allowing for student dismissal. Good luck Cowboys!

FINAL ALERT: The top-seeded Cowboys defeated the Sioux County Warriors 62-37 during the first round of the D2-12 boys basketball subdistrict tournament. The Cowboys will face the Hay Springs Hawks in the subdistrict championship on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 6 p.m. MT at the CK Corral in the Crown Jewel of the Sandhills: Cody, Nebraska.

Attention parents and students! All students will need to have a signed liability waiver turned into the Cody-Kilgore High School office in order to attend post prom. Waivers are due in the office without exception by Thursday, March 20. Any student who fails to return a signed waiver will not be admitted into post prom and will be sent home. All high school students should check their lockers for waivers. Extra waivers will be available in the office. Out-of-town dates will also need to have a signed waiver. Their waivers can be returned to the office at the same time as their out-of-town date permission form. The 2025 post prom will be held in the high school gym and run from 11:30 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Doors will be locked promptly at 11:30 p.m. Any student who is not in the building by 11:30 p.m. will not be admitted.

This is a reminder to the community that no school passes or senior citizen passes are being accepted for Sub-Districts games. The cost is $6.00 for adults, and K-12 is $5.00.

The Village of Cody Board will hold a community presentation at the Middle School Cottage on Thursday at 4:30 PM Mountain Time, just before the Subdistricts game. The Village's sewer lagoon is in severe disrepair and at risk of critical failure. To address this urgent issue, the Village Board has been working closely with engineers and federal agencies to develop a repair plan. During the presentation, the lead engineer will outline the alternatives considered and the proposed path forward. This is a significant project for our community, and your input is essential. We encourage all residents to attend and participate.

Cowboys, don't forget to saddle up for the boys basketball D2-12 Subdistrict tournament hosted by Cody-Kilgore on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Round 1 games feature top-seeded Cody-Kilgore tipping off against Sioux County at 5PM MT, while second seed Hay Springs will face Crawford to follow. Results from Round 1 will determine the Round 2 matchups for the Subdistrict final, to be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025. All D2-12 subdistrict action will take place at the CK Corral in the Crown Jewel of the Sandhills: Cody, Nebraska.

Good Afternoon, Cody-Kilgore Families! We have some exciting events happening next week. We would like to congratulate the high school boys' basketball players on a fantastic season! They are the top seed because of their hard work, which means that Cody-Kilgore will host the games on Tuesday and Thursday. Great job, boys and coaches!! We are moving parent-teacher conferences and the BookFair from Thursday night (February 27th) to Thursday, March 6th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Elementary parents, your times will be the same.
